Cicero, NY (January 22, 2026) – A vehicle slammed into the front of a Circle K convenience store on Route 31 on Wednesday morning, leaving three people injured and causing significant damage to the building, according to Cicero Fire officials.
The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m., prompting an immediate response from local emergency personnel. First Assistant Fire Chief Jon Barrett confirmed that two of the victims were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. A third individual sustained injuries but declined transport and left the scene. The current condition of those taken to the hospital has not yet been released.
The vehicle, described as a silver SUV, was still lodged inside the front of the store by noon, having crashed through the building’s glass facade and brick exterior. Emergency crews cordoned off the scene with crime scene tape while evaluating the structure for additional hazards and continuing their response efforts.
Images from the scene showed shattered glass and collapsed masonry surrounding the SUV, which came to rest several feet inside the store’s retail space. It’s not yet known what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash, including whether speed, distraction, or a medical emergency played a role.
We extend our thoughts to those injured and hope for a full and speedy recovery.
