Clay Co, MO (January 7, 2026) – A woman sustained minor injuries Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 35 near the 10 mile marker, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred around 5:55 a.m. when a 2013 GMC Sierra, driven by a 58-year-old man from Pomona, Kansas, changed lanes from left to right and struck a 2019 Chevrolet Malibu. The Malibu, driven by a 24-year-old woman from Independence, Missouri, sustained moderate damage.
The female driver was transported by Kansas City Fire to North Kansas City Hospital with injuries. Both vehicles were driven from the scene, and both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
