Cleveland Heights, OH (January 7, 2026) – A two-car collision early Tuesday morning caused injuries at the intersection of Monticello Blvd and Castleton Rd, prompting a response from multiple emergency agencies in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland.
The crash occurred around 7:00 a.m. and involved two vehicles in the intersection. First responders from Cleveland Heights Fire, along with medical units 241 and 221, were dispatched to the scene. According to dispatch communications, one individual involved in the crash reported symptoms consistent with whiplash, a common soft-tissue injury associated with rear-end or side-impact collisions.
A sheriff’s deputy was already on site when emergency crews arrived, coordinating initial response efforts. Utility crews were also dispatched nearby, though their involvement was unrelated to the accident.
Officials have not released the names of those involved, and no additional injuries were reported at the time of response. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by local authorities.
