Frequently Asked Questions
Where do most traffic accidents happen?
Many crashes occur on local and rural roads, especially at intersections or spots where visibility is limited, rather than on major highways alone.
What injuries are most common in car accidents, including ones involving a dirt bike or motorcycle?
Riders without the protection of a vehicle frame often suffer broken bones, road rash, and head or spinal injuries, even in lower-speed collisions. Prompt medical evaluation is important even if injuries seem minor at first.
What to Do After a Car Accident in Colebrook, Connecticut
If you're involved in a crash in a rural area like Colebrook, stay put and call for help instead of trying to move a damaged vehicle or bike yourself. Get checked by a medical provider even if you feel fine; some injuries, especially from impacts involving a motorcycle or dirt bike, take hours to show symptoms. Keep a record of what emergency responders and law enforcement tell you at the scene, and follow up with the responding agency for an incident report once it's available.
