Pelican, WI (August 10, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash on Saturday, August 8, at the intersection of County Road G and Highway 8 in Pelican left one person injured.
The crash occurred in a construction zone where traffic was restricted to one lane. A vehicle reportedly failed to stop for a red light controlling traffic through the construction area, resulting in the crash.
One person suffered minor injuries and was transported to a hospital by Oneida County EMS. One of the vehicle operators was taken into custody following the crash.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Pelican Fire Department, Pine Lake Fire Department, and Oneida County EMS.
