Wakulla County, FL (August 25, 2026) – A 21-year-old Crawfordville man died on Monday night, August 24, after his motorcycle struck the back of an SUV near Spring Creek Highway and Cayuse Drive, then was struck by another vehicle traveling south, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 8:45 p.m.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not hurt.

Why Are Motorcyclists at Extra Risk When Struck a Second Time?
After an initial crash, a rider is thrown from the motorcycle and left in an exposed position on the roadway, without the protection a car’s frame would offer.
