Crockett, CA (February 1, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision on Interstate 80 westbound near the Cummings Skyway on-ramp left at least one person injured Saturday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 7:31 p.m. on I-80 West in the Crockett area. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene after reports indicated that two vehicles had collided, causing significant disruption to traffic flow. At least one vehicle came to rest on the right shoulder, while others remained blocking multiple westbound lanes.
First responders, including paramedics, arrived to assess and assist those injured in the crash. At least one person suffered serious injuries and received immediate treatment at the scene. Additional details about the injured individual’s condition have not been released.
Following the collision, CHP issued a SigAlert and initiated full westbound lane closures to allow emergency crews to work safely. Traffic was heavily impacted in the area, with delays stretching well into the evening. Lanes one and two were eventually reopened as authorities completed cleanup and recovery operations.
