What Risks Are Common in Highway Motorcycle Crashes?
Motorcycle crashes on highways often involve higher speeds, which can increase the force of impact. When a collision occurs, riders may be thrown from the motorcycle, leading to more severe outcomes.
Traffic flow and lane positioning can also affect these incidents. Vehicles traveling close together may have limited time to react, especially during early morning or low-visibility conditions.
Motorcycles are smaller and less protected than passenger vehicles. Factors such as spacing, awareness, and roadway conditions can influence how these crashes happen and how serious they become.
