Charles City, IA (July 15, 2026) – Robert Krueger, 77, of Charles City, was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries on Monday after being struck by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle at the intersection of 220th Street and Walnut Avenue just outside Charles City. The crash occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on Monday, July 14.
The pickup truck was traveling east when its driver struck Krueger on the bike. Krueger was flown to MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City for treatment.
