Golden Valley, MN (August 11, 2026) – A 52-year-old bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by an SUV on Sunday afternoon, August 9, in Golden Valley.
The crash happened around 4:09 p.m. on westbound Highway 55 at Theodore Wirth Parkway. A 2005 Honda Pilot collided with the bicyclist at the intersection, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The Honda was driven by 62-year-old Simone Keovongkhot of Robbinsdale. The driver was not injured, and no alcohol involvement was suspected.
The bicyclist, identified as 52-year-old Amy Helene Robert of Golden Valley, suffered life-threatening injuries. She was taken to North Memorial Hospital for treatment. The roadway was dry at the time of the crash. The incident remains under review.
