Richwood, TX (August 11, 2026) – A 33-year-old woman was killed early on Sunday morning, August 9, around 3:30 a.m. after being ejected from a UTV during a rollover crash on Bayou Bend Drive in Richwood.
The crash was reported near FM 2004 and Oakwood Trail. Police said multiple people were riding in the off-road UTV when it rolled over, ejecting the woman. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe 38-year-old Sean Berkley was driving the UTV and arrested him on suspicion of intoxication manslaughter.
Officials said speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the crash. A warrant was also obtained to collect Berkley’s blood for testing, with results pending.
