San Francisco, CA (July 16, 2026) – A bicyclist died on Tuesday morning after a traffic collision on the 200 block of Sixth St in San Francisco’s West SoMa neighborhood. The crash was reported shortly after 4:00 a.m. on July 14.
According to available information, the man, believed to be about 50 years old, was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a vehicle. Emergency units provided lifesaving care at the roadway before taking him to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Police also stated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been contributing factors. The identity of the man has not yet been released.
