Why Rollover Crashes Often Lead to Ejection Fatalities
Rollover crashes are among the most dangerous types of traffic accidents. When a vehicle overturns, occupants can be thrown violently within the cabin. If a seatbelt is not worn, the risk of being ejected from the vehicle increases significantly.
Highway corridors like International Speedway Blvd often have higher speed limits, which can intensify the force during a loss of control. When a vehicle leaves the roadway and enters a grassy shoulder or treeline, uneven ground can cause it to flip.
Seatbelts are designed to keep occupants secured in their seats during sudden movements or rollovers. Ejection from a vehicle frequently results in severe or fatal injuries due to direct impact with the ground or surrounding objects.
