Orange County, FL (August 18, 2026) – A 41-year-old woman lost her life in a two-vehicle collision near SR 520 and Maxim Parkway in Orange County on Sunday, August 16. The collision occurred around 2:30 p.m.
The woman was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer when it was struck on the left side by a Toyota Camry. According to the preliminary investigation, the Camry was traveling above the speed limit and failed to stop at a red light before entering the intersection. The Lancer driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 24-year-old man driving the Camry was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. This is a developing story, as the incident is under active investigation.
