Fort Washington, MD (September 4, 2026) – A fatal three-vehicle crash on Indian Head Highway in Fort Washington claimed the life of a 24-year-old Waldorf man on Wednesday night, September 2.
The collision happened around 9:40 p.m. at Indian Head Highway and Palmer Road. The crash involved an SUV and two sedans. The victim, identified as Blake Greenwell, was driving one of the sedans and died at the scene. His passenger was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.
The preliminary investigation found that both sedans were traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway as they approached Palmer Road, while the SUV was traveling southbound. The three vehicles collided at the intersection for reasons that remain under investigation.
