Decatur, AL (January 10, 2026) – A woman lost her life and another person sustained injuries following a two-vehicle collision that took place on January 9 in the 2500 block of Old Moulton Rd SW. The crash occurred at approximately 2:32 p.m., prompting a response from Decatur Police Department, Decatur Fire, and Decatur Morgan EMS.

One of the drivers involved was transported to Decatur Morgan Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The other driver was also taken to the same hospital and is being treated for injuries described as non-life-threatening. Details surrounding the events that led to the wreck have not been made public at this time.
