Detroit, MI (January 31, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a serious incident involving a child struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Lonyo St and Kirkwood St on January 30. The crash occurred in a residential area of Detroit’s west side and involved a young pedestrian.
According to dispatch audio, the child was reportedly unconscious following the impact. First responders from EMS and Detroit Fire were quickly dispatched to the scene, while police were called to assist in managing the situation. Initial reports described the crash as a pedestrian-involved accident with serious concern for the child’s condition.
