Detroit, MI (January 12, 2026) – A civilian was briefly trapped inside a vehicle following a crash near Hayes St and Rochelle Ave in Detroit on Sunday morning. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to assist with the incident.

The accident occurred around 11:15 a.m. While the crash did not result in reported injuries, the individual was unable to exit the vehicle without assistance. Crews from Engine 58 and Squad 6 responded and worked to safely remove the person from the vehicle.

Officials confirmed that no medical transport was required and that the situation was handled on-site. The roadway was temporarily impacted while emergency crews operated at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under review. No further details have been released at this time.
