Driver Flees After Fatal Bicycle Crash on St Johns Ave in Putnam Co, FL

The report identified the motorist as a 35-year-old man from East Palatka. Troopers said he fled on foot after leaving the Kia behind. Emergency units remained at the roadway while the victim was pronounced deceased. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the driver’s whereabouts or the fatal hit-and-run to contact FHP.

The circumstances surrounding what led the vehicle to cross into the left side of the roadway are still being examined.
