Terre Haute, IN (August 16, 2026) – A driver was taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle crash on US 41 near Evans Avenue on Friday, August 14. The accident happened when a Jeep traveling on Evans Avenue attempted to cross US 41 and collided with a Prius.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames said the Jeep driver failed to see the Prius before entering the intersection. The impact sent the Prius into a roadside ditch and caused heavy front-end damage to the Jeep. The Prius driver was taken to a local hospital after complaining of pain. Officials did not report any other injuries, and no citations were issued. The incident remains under review as authorities continue to determine the circumstances of the crash.
