Terre Haute, IN (August 16, 2026) – A driver was taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle crash on US 41 near Evans Avenue on Friday, August 14. The accident happened when a Jeep traveling on Evans Avenue attempted to cross US 41 and collided with a Prius.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Matt Ames said the Jeep driver failed to see the Prius before entering the intersection. The impact sent the Prius into a roadside ditch and caused heavy front-end damage to the Jeep. The Prius driver was taken to a local hospital after complaining of pain. Officials did not report any other injuries, and no citations were issued.
