Pike County, KY (July 19, 2026) – One person was injured after a pickup truck rear-ended a coal truck on State Highway 194 in the Freeburn community on Friday morning, July 17. The crash happened around 10:15 a.m.
According to the Kentucky State Police, the coal truck had stopped due to road construction when it was struck from behind by the pickup truck. The pickup truck driver was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of injuries.
