Same-Direction Collisions Can Result in Injuries
Crashes involving vehicles traveling in the same direction occur when one vehicle changes position, slows unexpectedly, or when drivers have limited time to react to traffic conditions ahead. Even relatively minor contact between vehicles can lead to injuries and significant property damage.
Investigators typically review vehicle damage, roadway evidence, driver statements, and witness accounts to determine how contact occurred and whether any traffic violations contributed to the crash.
Drivers are encouraged to maintain safe following distances and remain attentive to surrounding traffic to help reduce the risk of collisions.
