Glenview, IL (August 8, 2026) – A vehicle struck a nail salon at about 9:48 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, at 2699 Shermer Rd. Detectives said the driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.
The vehicle entered the business, where three employees later experienced symptoms related to stress from the accident. They were taken to a hospital for evaluation.
A Glenview Building and Zoning inspector examined the business and determined that the structure did not sustain damage. No physical injuries were reported from the collision itself. The police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
