How Vehicle Entrapment Crashes Are Handled
Crashes that leave people trapped inside vehicles may require specialized rescue efforts before occupants can be safely removed. Emergency crews may assess vehicle damage, stabilize the vehicle, and use equipment to access people inside.
Investigators may review vehicle positions, roadway conditions, and damage patterns to understand how the crash occurred. Intersections can pose additional risks when multiple directions of traffic meet in the same area, requiring drivers to watch for changing movements and roadway conditions.
