Teaneck, NJ (July 28, 2026) – A crash connected to a police pursuit left one person injured on Sunday morning, July 26, in Teaneck. The vehicle struck a utility pole at Queen Anne Road and Walraven Drive after the collision was reported around 11:21 a.m.
Responding officers found two damaged vehicles, a broken utility pole, and wires down across the roadway. One person was trapped inside a vehicle until crews safely removed the wires. Investigators determined that a suspect driving a 2017 Toyota Tacoma was being pursued and crashed into an occupied 2026 Nissan Rogue parked near the utility pole. The impact pushed the Nissan into the pole, causing it to break.
The Nissan occupant was later removed from the vehicle after remaining inside for about an hour. The Toyota driver reported head pain and was treated at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
