Salem, IL (August 22, 2026) – Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies reported that two people were injured on Thursday afternoon, August 20, in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Green Street and Odin Road in Marion County.
Preliminary information indicates a pickup driven by 35-year-old Donnie Keller was stopped at the northbound stop sign at Zion Hill Road. Keller then pulled across Green St Road, where the pickup was struck on the side by a car driven by 27-year-old Latavia Maines of Cedar Avenue in Salem.
Maines and a 9-year-old girl who was riding in her car were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment. Air Evac was called to the hospital helipad by Life Star Ambulance, although it was not immediately clear whether either patient was flown to a regional hospital. Keller was not injured.
