Schuylkill County, PA (July 31, 2026) – An 18-year-old woman was killed Wednesday night, July 29, when a car and a tanker truck collided on Burma Road near Firetower Road in Blythe Township. She was the front-seat passenger in the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The wreck happened around 8 p.m. when the driver of the car lost control going around a curve and spun into the oncoming lane, where the tanker truck struck the passenger side of the vehicle.
Three other teenagers in the car were seriously injured, according to officials. Investigators believe alcohol or drugs were involved, though who was impaired had not yet been confirmed.
