Bridgehampton, NY (August 5, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured and hospitalized after being struck in a crash involving a driver accused of operating under the influence of drugs on Haines Path in Bridgehampton.
Deputies were sent to the scene after receiving a report of the pedestrian crash around 10:03 a.m. on Monday, August 3. According to the police, Noelle Haas, 57, of East Hampton, was identified as the driver and was found to have operated the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Both the pedestrian and Haas suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital for further treatment.
Haas was later arrested and charged with driving while impaired by drugs and possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container. This is a developing story.
