Columbus, OH (August 29, 2026) – Serious injuries were reported on Thursday morning, August 27, after an e-bike rider was struck by a vehicle in the University District. The collision took place just before 10:30 a.m. at East 17th Avenue and North 4th Street. The bicyclist was taken to The Ohio State Medical Center for treatment.
Police said the rider was listed as stable but remained in very critical condition. The driver of the car was not injured. The circumstances surrounding the collision were not immediately released. We are keeping the injured rider in our thoughts and wishing them strength during recovery.
