How Vehicle Loading and Unloading Incidents Can Become Dangerous
Loading and unloading vehicles from transport trailers involves several moving parts and tight spaces. Drivers often guide vehicles down ramps or through enclosed areas where clearances can be limited.
These tasks can become dangerous if a vehicle shifts unexpectedly or if there is insufficient space between the vehicle and the trailer’s structure. In some cases, a small movement of the vehicle can trap someone between solid surfaces.
Work areas, such as vehicle transport lots or dealerships, may also feature uneven surfaces or limited maneuvering space. Because of these conditions, unloading operations typically require careful vehicle positioning and attention to the surrounding space at each step.
