Little Valley, NY (June 25, 2026) – Eight people were injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a runaway horse on Route 353 in Little Valley.
According to reports, a vehicle traveling south on Route 353 struck a runaway horse just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23. The vehicle then continued forward and struck a northbound vehicle head-on.
A total of three adults and five children were hurt in the sequence of events. Two adults and five children were taken to ECMC and Golisano Children’s Hospital of Buffalo for care. Another adult, who had been thrown from the horse before the roadway impact, was also taken to ECMC.
Emergency units arrived after the crash was reported and assisted those involved. No details on the severity of the injuries were released in the initial report. Investigators are continuing to examine how the sequence of events unfolded.
