What Happens During a Multi-Vehicle Crash Review on a Highway?
Multi-vehicle crashes can require a review of several factors, including vehicle positions, lane movement, roadway conditions, and the timing of each impact. Investigators may examine damage to each vehicle and other available evidence to help determine how the crash unfolded.
Traffic conditions can also affect how a chain-reaction crash develops, especially on busy highways. Information about vehicle safety features, driver actions, and roadway layout may provide additional details about the collision and the injuries reported.
