Dubuque County, IA (July 29, 2026) – A fatal head-on crash on Highway 52 in Dubuque County claimed the life of an 81-year-old Cedar Rapids driver on Monday, July 27. The collision occurred after the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a southbound Ford F-250, officials said.
The driver of the Ford F250, a 51-year-old from Decorah, and two passengers, a 26-year-old from Ossian and a 22-year-old from Cresco, were hurt in the crash. All three were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The identity of the deceased driver has not yet been released.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, and more details will be released as soon as they become available.
