Ottawa County, MI (August 15, 2026) – A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a motorcycle on Thursday afternoon, August 13, while crossing Lakeshore Drive near Olive Shore Drive in Port Sheldon Township. The motorcycle was traveling northbound at the time of the collision.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, the man had been getting his mail along the side of the road before attempting to cross Lakeshore. He stepped into the motorcycle’s path, resulting in the collision. The 73-year-old man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 34-year-old Muskegon man riding the motorcycle also suffered minor injuries. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under review.
