Jonesboro, AR (August 6, 2026) – A 96-year-old woman died on Tuesday night, August 4, after being struck by a pickup truck at West Nettleton Avenue and Nettleton Circle. The collision occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Grethel Turner of Jonesboro was walking across the intersection when a Chevrolet Silverado hit her. She later died from her injuries.
No other injuries were reported. The initial account did not identify the pickup driver or provide further details about the vehicle. Authorities continue reviewing evidence to determine the complete circumstances surrounding the crash.
