Harrisburg, PA (July 28, 2026) – A person riding an electric scooter was hurt after being struck by a car on Sunday evening at the intersection of N 3rd St and Emerald St in Harrisburg.
The police were dispatched to the intersection at approximately 5:11 p.m. for a reported pedestrian crash. According to a bystander, the scooter rider was traveling along Emerald Street toward Front Street when a northbound car on North Front Street struck the rider. The person was seen holding their arm while getting into an ambulance to speak with emergency units.
The electric scooter remained at the intersection as officers interviewed witnesses. The identity of the injured person and the extent of their injuries were not immediately released. The investigation into the collision is ongoing as police continue gathering information.
