Why Can Evening Intersection Crashes Lead to Injuries?
Intersections bring vehicles traveling in different directions into the same space, increasing the number of possible conflict points.
During evening hours, traffic volume, changing light conditions, and turning movements can all affect how much time drivers have to recognize and respond to a developing hazard.
Vehicle speed, impact angle, roadway layout, visibility, and traffic flow can all influence injury severity. Even when early reports provide few details, intersection crashes can produce significant injuries because impacts may happen from the front, side, or at an angle.
