Seymour, CT (August 24, 2026) – A worker was reported unconscious on Monday morning, August 24, after rock boulders fell onto them at Haynes Quarry, located at 600 Derby Avenue in Seymour. The industrial accident was reported at approximately 10:55 a.m.
The initial scanner alert indicated that the worker was struck or pinned by falling rock material. Emergency crews responded to the quarry after receiving the report of an unconscious patient.
Command personnel requested that federal and state workplace safety agencies be notified following the accident.
