Southfield, MI (August 24, 2026) – A man was seriously hurt on Saturday evening, August 22, after a vehicle struck him while he crossed 11 Mile Road in a motorized wheelchair.
Emergency units went to 11 Mile Rd and Marshall Street around 7:30 p.m. Police said the man was crossing the road when a westbound vehicle hit him. His age was not disclosed in the initial report.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he remained in critical condition on Saturday night. The driver stayed at the scene following the collision.
