Why Failure to Yield Crashes Often Happen at Intersections
Crashes at intersections often occur when drivers misjudge the speed or distance of oncoming traffic. Failing to yield while turning left is one of the most common causes of these accidents. Drivers may feel rushed, especially during morning or evening commute hours.
Parking lot exits can also create added risk. Vehicles entering a main road must wait for a safe gap in traffic. Even a brief lapse in attention can lead to a collision.
Clear visibility, patience, and careful checking in both directions can help reduce the risk of intersection accidents.
