Chewelah, WA (July 29, 2026) – The Washington Police Department is investigating the cause of a fatal two-car crash that closed U.S. Highway 395 near Blue Creek on Tuesday morning, July 28.
The collision was reported at approximately 5:25 a.m. The roadway was fully blocked following the crash as crews worked at the location. The number of people killed or injured has not been confirmed, and no additional information about those involved has been released.
