Mentor, OH (July 29, 2026) – A 35-year-old Painesville woman was seriously injured in a crash involving a semi-truck and a Mazda 6 on Tyler Boulevard near 8303 Tyler Boulevard in Mentor on Monday, July 27. The collision happened at approximately 1:13 p.m.
Deputies said a Freightliner semi tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on Tyler Boulevard when it struck a Mazda 6 that was leaving a private drive and attempting to enter the roadway. The Mazda driver, who was the only person inside the vehicle, was ejected and suffered serious injuries. She was taken by medical helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center. The semi-truck driver was not hurt.
The Mentor Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the crash. We are thinking of those injured as they receive medical care.
