Birmingham, AL (July 25, 2026) – A Birmingham man lost his life, and three others were injured after a multi-vehicle wreck on Thursday, July 23, on US 280 near Eagle Point Parkway in Shelby County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 56-year-old Troy A. Tabor was driving a Toyota Avalon when it struck a Toyota Camry. After the first impact, the Toyota Avalon was hit by a Ford Econoline van. Tabor was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of the other two vehicles and a passenger in the Ford van suffered injuries and were taken to UAB Hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation. Our condolences go out to the family of Tabor.
