A 30-year-old Bismarck woman suffered serious injuries, while two juveniles also sustained serious injuries. A third juvenile suffered minor injuries. Authorities reported that no one inside the vehicle was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The cause of the accident is still being investigated. How Rollover Crashes Can Occur on Highways
Rollover crashes can happen when a driver loses control of a vehicle, especially after leaving the roadway or making sudden steering corrections. Factors such as vehicle movement, road conditions, speed, and driver reactions can influence whether a vehicle remains stable or overturns.
Highway rollovers may become more severe when a vehicle enters a median, shoulder, or uneven terrain. Investigators often review vehicle damage, roadway evidence, and the sequence of driver actions to understand how the crash developed. Safety features such as seat belts and airbags are designed to help protect occupants during a rollover, though the outcome of a crash can vary depending on the circumstances involved.
