Westwood, MA (August 28, 2026) – A 71-year-old motorcyclist was killed on Wednesday evening, August 26, after a three-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 95 in Westwood. The victim was identified as Harris Shippee of Warwick, Rhode Island.
According to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, Shippee was operating a three-wheeled motorcycle when it collided with a Jeep Wrangler. A Hyundai Sonata was also involved in the collision. Shippee was taken to a Boston hospital, where he later died. A 70-year-old woman riding as a passenger on his motorcycle was also taken to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.
The Hyundai driver was not injured. Several lanes of southbound Interstate 95 were closed following the collision, causing traffic disruptions in the area. The crash remains under investigation.
