Houston, TX (August 9, 2026) – The Houston Police Department is handling the investigation of a deadly two-vehicle crash that was reported early on Saturday, August 8, at Telephone Road and Reveille Street in Houston. The collision happened at about 1:40 a.m.
According to preliminary information, a woman in her 20s was driving south on Reveille Street at a high rate of speed when she went through two red lights. Her car then struck another vehicle in the intersection. Officers and medics attempted lifesaving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening. The police said each vehicle had one occupant.
