Dothan, AL (August 9, 2026) – A 74-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle early on Friday morning at Ross Clark Circle and 3rd Avenue in Dothan. The crash was reported at approximately 5:32 a.m. on August 7.
Emergency units arrived and found the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The victim was identified as William Smart of Dothan and was pronounced dead by the Houston County coroner. Traffic was rerouted following the crash while the Dothan Police crash team responded. The police department is handling the accident investigation.
