Prince William County, VA (July 25, 2026) – A 26-year-old man was killed after a wrong-way crash on Prince William Parkway near Quartz Avenue in Prince William County early on Friday morning, July 24. The crash was reported shortly after 1:30 a.m.
According to police, the driver of a 2012 Nissan Altima was traveling westbound on Prince William Parkway near Minnieville Road when he drove through a red light and continued west in the eastbound lanes. The vehicle crossed the eastbound lanes before striking a concrete barrier and an unoccupied 2022 Ford F-250 equipped with a rear truck-mounted attenuator.
The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. The police have not released his identity pending notification of family members. Investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash. The incident remains under review by authorities.
