Emergency units remained on the highway while crews cleared the overturned truck, scattered pallets, and debris spread across multiple lanes. A fuel spill was also reported, prompting a hazardous materials cleanup effort.
Transportation officials warned drivers to avoid the area as the closure continued into the evening. By about 6:30 p.m., all westbound lanes had reopened to traffic. Authorities stated the five people taken for medical evaluation were expected to be OK.
