Horry County, SC (August 8, 2026) – Five people were hurt on Friday morning in a three-vehicle accident at River Oaks Dr and Carolina Forest Blvd. The crash occurred shortly before 7 a.m., blocking lanes of traffic.
One of the vehicles struck a utility pole, and at least one person became trapped inside a vehicle. Emergency units used extrication equipment to remove the trapped person.
All five people involved were taken to a hospital for treatment, although the severity of their injuries was not immediately released. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
